How do I buy a hotel for my points?
Icelandair's Sales Offices handle all award bookings for Radisson SAS Hotels and Radisson Hotels and Resort. Please contact your nearest Icelandair's Sales Office.
If you whish to book at Icelandair Hotels and Edda Hotels, summer hotels, you must call +354 50 50 777.

How can I buy flights for my points?
Icelandair's Sales Offices handle all bookings. Please contact your nearest Sales Office or go to our website www.icelandair.net and choose your geographical region.
Choose Customer Clubs, and then click on Frequent Flyer on the left site bar and enter Award Bookings.
When a cardholder has earned enough Frequent Flyer points, he/she can redeem the points for flights or other services. A cardholder may also use Frequent Flyer points for flights for friends or family. For children under 2 years of age, 10% of adult Frequent Flyer points are required, and for children aged 2 to 16, 50% of adult points.
A ticket for Frequent Flyer points is valid for a year. A return flight must be booked. Travel dates may be changed for a fee, or for points. Points can never be refunded after a hotel or car-hire booking has been made. When a hotel or car-hire booking is made, points are deducted from the cardholder’s account.
Icelandair’s destinations have been classified into groups, according to how many points are required for flights, and how many points are credited for each destination.
Europe 1: Amsterdam, Glasgow, Copenhagen, London, Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki.
Europe 2: Barcelona*, Frankfurt, Milan*, Paris, Munich*, Berlin*, Hamburg*, Madrid*, Zurich*.

How can I Share my Points?
You can share your miles with family and friends! Use the Saga Club Share program to transfer up to 30,000 Award points per calendar year. Each member are allowed 2 transactions per calendar year Please allow 24 hours for the points to post the recipient's account.

Buying Award Points
With the Saga Club Buy program, you can purchase up to 60,000 Saga Club Award Points per member, per calendar year. Maximum 20.000 Award points can be bought in one transaction. Now if you're close to reaching an award, the Saga Club BUY program lets you purchase the points you need to reach your goal and claim an award. Please allow 24 hours for the points to post to your account.

Do I get points for all my flights with Icelandair?
Members earn points by buying and using the services of Icelandair and its service partners which are specified as granting Award Points.

How do I earn points ?
Award Points and Card Points are awarded for all Icelandair scheduled flights. For transactions with Icelandair partners, Award Points alone are allocated. Please note that points for flights are credited after the flight. Points for Icelandair Customer Club partners are credited monthly.
Points are only awarded for tickets bought at the advertised price. If a cardholder upgrades, the number of points allocated is for the class booked and paid for, not for the upgraded class.
Points are awarded for journeys taken. No points are awarded for flights booked but not flown.
Users of the Saga Bonus card issued by VISA/Icelandair also receive Award points for all their transactions within Iceland. In addition, points are allocated for transactions with Icelandair partners which give discounts in the form of points.
Users of the Europay Heimskort credit card receive Award points for all transactions within Iceland, and also for transactions with Iceland Telecom (Landssíminn).
Members of the Landsbanki (National Bank) Varða Club earn Frequent Flyer award points.

What do I do if my card is lost or damaged?
The individual whose name appears on the card is deemed to be its holder. Only that individual is authorised to use it.
The card is not a credit card. The card is and remains the property of Icelandair. Members get their first Saga Bonus Card after the first points for an Icelandair flight have been registered. Members shall notify Icelandair immediately if a card is lost or damaged. A fee of USD 7 will be charged to replace lost or damaged cards. Please contact the membership service phone at +354 50 50 777 or by e-mail icc@icelandair.is.
A new card will be sent within 4 weeks. Until the new card is received, the member is advised to keep all flight tickets in order to be able to prove, if necessary, that he has flown Icelandair while waiting for the replacement.

When will I receive my new Frequent Flyer card?
You will receive your permanent membership card after your first points for a flight with Icelandair have been registered to your account.
If points are missing, you can send us a copy of your flight coupons along with your membership number by fax +354 50 50 737. +
You can send in corrections up to 6 months from the date of travel. No points can be earned for flights flown prior to enrollment into the club.
If points are missing for flights with SAS you must also send the original boarding passes.
We advice you to keep all flight documents, car rental agreements an Hotel receipt until points have been registered.

I am having problems logging in on the Icelandair Frequent Flyer page?
Members of the Icelandair Netclub and Icelandair Frequent Flyer Club who already have username and password have an access to their personal area on the web site “My Page” where users can easily amend any personal information. Members can also register for the Frequent Flyer or Netclub and book flights, hotels and hire cars.

How can I join the Frequent Flyer Club?
Those who are at least 18 years old can apply for membership of the Frequent Flyer Club. Companies, societies and institutions cannot be members. By applying for membership the applicant authorises Icelandair to make use of all information recorded for marketing and publicity purposes. An application is only accepted if fully completed. Each member may only have one point account. A member may withdraw from the Frequent Flyer Club at any time by sending notification in writing, together with the cut-up card. All points accrued by the member are then rendered void.
No points can be awarded for flights taken before an application has been made for membership of the Frequent Flyer Club. A Saga Bonus card will be sent to the applicant after the first Icelandair flight has been entered on the account.

How can I apply for a new Frequent Flyer card?
Saga Bonus Cards have four year validity. If points are registered during the fourth year the card is renewed. New cards are not issued. If no transactions are registered during the fourth year and less than 10.000 Award points have been registered into the account the card is outdated and all points depreciate. If 10.000 Award points have been registered into the account the card is renewed.
Members who hold Icelandair co-branded credit cards have their Saga Bonus Club membership automatically renewed.

Where can I see my point status?
To see your points status, log onto your personal page “My Page” on www.icelandair.com using your username and password.

A member may apply for rectification of points status by sending a copy of the ticket and boarding pass to the Customer Club within six months of travel.

Please note that in order to get the points added automatically to your account it is important that your Saga number is registered when booking a flight or other services.

How can I donate points to the Icelandair Travel Fund for Special Children?
Members can donate any amount of Award Points each year to the Special Children Travel Fund. To donate Award Points on-line please log onto your personal area on the Icelandair web site and enter the number of points you wish to donate.
Who is eligible for a grant from the Icelandair Travel Fund for Special Children?
The Icelandair Travel Fund for Special Children is a travel fund for children with long-term illnesses and children in difficult circumstances.
The objective of the fund is to provide children in Iceland and neighbouring countries with the chance to travel with their families.

The fund was established by Icelandair on the First Day of Summer 2003. Travel grants are awarded twice a year, on the First Day of Summer (in April) and the First Day of Winter (in October).
